New York, NY — Visual AIDS announces the 27th edition of Postcards from the Edge, the organization’s signature benefit event, hosted at Berry Campbell Gallery (524 West 26th Street in Chelsea).

Widely known for its unique format and jam-packed preview party, Postcards from the Edge is  the most exciting and affordable way to add to a collection. Over 1,400 artworks will be offered  for only $100 on a first-come, first-served basis. Each piece is exhibited anonymously, and the identity of the artist is revealed only after the work is purchased. With the playing field leveled, all participants can take home a piece by a famous artist, or one who's just making their debut in the art world.

Each year Visual AIDS calls on artists from around the world to create and donate a 4 x 6 inch original artwork. With over 1,400 artworks, the 2025 edition is one of the largest sales in the 27 year history of the event.

This year, acclaimed artists such as Catherine Opie, Kiki Smith, Betye Saar, Marilyn Minter, Katherine Bernhardt, Louise Lawler, Sanford Biggers, Joyce McDonald, Felipe Baeza, Lola Flash, Carlos Motta, Kang Seung Lee, Tabboo!, Shikeith, Justin Liam O’Brien, and others will be joining a wide range of emerging and established artists for the exhibition at Berry Campbell.

All proceeds from the sale support the programs of Visual AIDS. Since 1988, Visual AIDS has nurtured a community of more than 1000 artists living with HIV and worked to preserve the legacies of those lost to AIDS through the renowned Visual AIDS Archive. In recent years, Visual AIDS’s Darrel Ellis monograph helped bring attention to the late painter culminating in major exhibitions around the country and acquisitions at established art institutions. The annual LOVE POSITIVE WOMEN anti-stigma project brings awareness to women living around the globe and exhibits hundreds of handmade Valentine's Day card at partners like MoMA PS1. In Spring 2025, the Women's Empowerment Art Therapy Workshops will launch a large-scale public mural in Downtown Brooklyn to highlight the experiences of Black women living with HIV today. Through Artist Support Grants, Visual AIDS provides $55k in direct support to artists living with HIV each year; and as an organization produces over 130 programs, screenings, and public events annually to carry forward its mission... because AIDS isn't over.
