Art Basel has revealed the exhibitors and programming highlights for its 2025 Hong Kong edition, which opens to the public on March 28 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center.
Some 242 galleries are currently set to participate, the same number of exhibitors as the 2024 edition, give and take a few names: 46 galleries from the 2024 edition will not return to Hong Kong in 2025, though 46 have joined. The 2025 galleries hail from 42 countries and territories, with more than half of all participants from the Asia-Pacific region. The 23 first-time exhibitors are based in the Greater China Region, India, Kosovo, Guatemala, Nigeria, South Africa, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, Austria, and the United Kingdom.
Among the notable galleries joining in 2025 are Berry Campbell (New York), Blank Projects (Cape Town), Ceysson and Bénétière (New York), and Galerie Isabella Bortolozzi (Berlin). Those not returning to the fair include Galerie Eva Presenhuber, Helly Nahmad, Edward Tyler Nahem, and Lévy Gorvy Dayan, which will shutter its Hong Kong outpost at the end of the year.
