The Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA) has revealed the 63 participant galleries selected for the inaugural ADAA Fair at the Park Avenue Armory in New York. Running November 13-16, the fair marks a new chapter for the ADAA, a nonprofit membership organization comprising roughly 200 fine art galleries across nearly forty U.S. cities. The fair’s opening will be preceded by a preview gala on November 12, organized in partnership with the Whitney Museum of American Art to benefit the museum’s education and artistic programs. The fair’s lineup spans galleries from 23 U.S. cities and 12 states, including founding members such as Kraushaar Galleries and Hirschl & Adler, newcomers including Alexander Berggruen, Hollis Taggart, and Nicodim, and recently admitted galleries such as AH Arts, Luis De Jesus Los Angeles, and David Lusk Gallery. Notable presentations include a Berry Campbell showcase spotlighting women artists, a Peter Blum Gallery exhibition of Alex Katz’s works-on-paper from the past seven decades, and a solo exhibition of Betye Saar assemblage works at Robert Projects marking the artist’s centennial.
